Relentless Storm (Signed Variant) from Riftbound TCG

Let’s be clear: Relentless Storm was already one of the standout Legends from Riftbound’s Preview Season.

A cornerstone for Mighty archetypes and a value engine that doesn’t wait for late-game setups. But this version? The signed overnumbered variant of Relentless Storm flips the dial from strong to straight-up collectible gold.

This is card #300* out of 298, which puts it firmly in the overnumbered flex zone—complete with a crisp white artist signature from Alex Flores smacked across Volibear’s lightning-charged shoulder. This is what collectors chase.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

Mechanically, nothing’s changed from the base version of Relentless Storm, and that’s a good thing.

Whenever you play a Mighty unit (5+ Power), you can exhaust this Legend to channel a rune—even if it’s already exhausted.

That makes it one of the few cards in Riftbound that breaks the usual one-use-per-turn rhythm.

If you’re sequencing properly, you can rack up extra rune channels just by continuing to do what your deck is built for: dropping heavy-hitting units and keeping tempo pressure high.

It’s also one of the more subtle cards to reward deckbuilding around threshold mechanics. Mighty isn’t a keyword you just luck into—Relentless Storm pushes you to build for it, and the payoff is consistent resource advantage.

Visuals

Same ferocity. Same thundering presence. But here’s the difference—the Alex Flores signature cuts through the lower third of the frame like a streak of divine lightning.

It doesn’t detract from the chaos; it cements it. This isn’t just Volibear caught in mid-roar. It’s Volibear authorized by the hand that summoned him.

There’s a strange reverence here—the clash between myth and marker pen. It makes the card feel more like an artifact than a game piece.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

  • Card Name: Relentless Storm (Signed Variant)

  • Legend: Volibear

  • Set Number: 300*/298

  • Type: Overnumbered, Artist-Signed

  • Rarity: Likely Mythic or higher-tier insert

  • Foil Status: Unknown, but signature variants often come in premium finishes

  • Distribution: Unknown print run, likely pack-incentive or special collector drop

If this ends up being a 1-per-case or even rarer, the Relentless Storm signed variant is going to command serious value.

Volibear’s already a recognizable name with fans, and this card delivers on multiple collector fronts: playable, beautifully aggressive art, overnumbered print, and signature.

If you’re building Mighty, you want this. If you’re just a sicko for foils and flex pulls, you need this.

If you open this version of Relentless Storm, don’t sleeve it—frame it. Then buy a second one to actually play.
