Nocturne from Riftbound TCG

Nocturne
Spread the love

If you’re looking for a card that feels like a jump scare mid-match, Nocturne from Riftbound TCG is it.

It’s one of the first high-impact Ganking units we’ve seen this season, and it plays like a horror story unfolding behind your opponent’s eyes.

Nocturne doesn’t care about traditional tempo—he slips past it, unannounced, and strikes from the shadows.

This is one of those cards that changes how your opponent plays, not just how you do.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

Nocturne introduces a super fun interaction with deck-peeking effects. If you’re looking at the top of your deck without drawing (think scrying, scouting, or specific effect reveals), and Nocturne shows up—bam, you get to play him for just one mana.

That’s massive for a 4|4 Champion. It’s not just efficient, it’s threatening—every time you manipulate the top of your deck, your opponent has to wonder: is this the turn the nightmare drops?

Add Ganking to that mix—his ability to shift between battlefields—and Nocturne becomes a mobile kill pressure unit.

He’s not just efficient, he’s elusive. Whether you’re mid-control stall or trying to bluff aggression, Nocturne gives you a mind-game tool and a strong body all in one.

Definitely best in a deck with reliable top-deck info—look for synergy with units that peek and pause, or even cards that place Nocturne on top intentionally.

This isn’t a face-down brawler. It’s a precision assassin with a horror film budget.

Visuals

Nocturne’s artwork does all the talking: he’s descending through fog and moonlight like a demon born of mist and malice.

Shadowy tendrils stretch across the card, with jagged, scythe-like limbs extending as villagers scream beneath him.

The perspective sells the predator/prey dynamic perfectly—he’s huge, weightless, and already halfway through his attack animation. It’s oppressive in all the right ways.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

Collector number 194/298, so this is the standard print of Nocturne—no alt or overnumbered tag (yet).

Still, this is a high-playability Champion with powerful synergy potential, and that alone will keep its value buoyed in competitive decks.

If a scry-heavy archetype emerges in any faction, this becomes an auto-include.

It’s also a visual standout in the black-violet aesthetic range, which makes it foil-bait. If a holo version of this drops, expect players and collectors alike to grab it fast.

Nocturne from Riftbound TCG feels like it was built to disrupt—not just the board, but your opponent’s sense of safety.

If you love cards that make people sweat the top of your deck, you’ll love this one.
