Fox-Fire from Riftbound TCG

Fox-Fire
Spread the love

There are a lot of ways to clear a battlefield in Riftbound, but Fox-Fire is the first to do it with precision instead of brute force.

Tied to Ahri as her Signature Spell, Fox-Fire lands as a clean, controlled wipe that hits hard—without overcommitting.

It’s fast, reactive, and punishes low-to-mid tempo swarms. Think of it as a scalpel in a world full of hammers.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

At just 3 mana, Fox-Fire lets you kill any number of enemy units at a single battlefield, as long as their total Might is 4 or less.

That’s huge for dealing with go-wide decks that flood with 1- or 2-Might units.

But what makes it even stronger is the Hidden keyword: you can stash this card with a lightning-cost setup, and then spring it for zero when the board fills.

It doesn’t hit big creatures, but that’s the point. This is a punish tool for players who overextend. Play your bait units, hide Fox-Fire, and let your opponent walk right into it.

It’s also strong as a tempo stabilizer—if you’re behind, it catches up; if you’re ahead, it holds the line.

Instant speed board control like this is rare in Riftbound’s early design, and Fox-Fire might define how control decks build their core toolkits.

Visuals

The artwork shows a blazing spectral fox streaking down a mountain, framed in a swirl of cool blues, violets, and spiritual white.

There’s no ambiguity—this is pure energy in motion.

The mountainous background gives a feeling of scale, like the spell is crashing down from above. The fox’s face is sharp, serious, and ghostlike, echoing the speed and lethality of the spell.

If Nine-Tailed Fox was Ahri in control, Fox-Fire is her fury in motion.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

Fox-Fire is set number 256/298, classified as a Signature Spell tied to the Legend Ahri, and fits into the mid-high tier of chase cards thanks to its synergy and art.

If a foil version drops, this is a visual centerpiece card—pure aesthetic payoff.

No alt or overnumbered version is confirmed yet, but it would be a no-brainer for an alternate foil run given how strong the visual and mechanical tie-in is.

Collectors who build around Ahri or tempo-heavy control decks will likely consider Fox-Fire a must-pull.

Fox-Fire is surgical. It’s gorgeous. And it’s exactly the kind of card that keeps greedy players honest.
