Blitzcrank from Riftbound TCG

Blitzcrank
Spread the love

Blitzcrank is one of the cleanest tempo disruption tools we’ve seen revealed so far in Riftbound: League of Legends TCG.

At five energy for a 5/5 Champion Unit with Tank and battlefield displacement baked in, Blitzcrank is a no-nonsense answer to sticky board states—and a nightmare for anyone trying to stack their win condition behind a wall.

Gameplay Integration

The keyword Tank means Blitzcrank must be assigned combat damage first, setting him up as a frontline anchor.

But where he really shines is in his play effect: the moment you drop him onto a battlefield, you get to move an enemy unit into that same lane. Doesn’t target—just moves. That’s disruption without asking.

That one line alone makes Blitzcrank a soft-lock enabler and combo-stopper in the right deck.

He doesn’t remove, he relocates. That’s huge. If the unit he pulls has synergy tied to a specific battlefield, or if your opponent was trying to split threat pressure, it all gets wrecked.

And when Blitzcrank holds (i.e., survives the turn and controls the field), he bounces back to hand. That’s not a downside. That’s repeatable pressure, waiting to be recycled.

He’s Zaun, he’s Mech, and he’s Impasse—a new tag we haven’t seen fully explored yet. Depending on how Riftbound handles tag-based deckbuilding or synergies, this could matter later.

Visuals

Blitzcrank’s art captures the sheer inevitability of his presence.

You don’t see him charging—you see him mid-swing, golden gauntlet already slamming forward.

The background mech looms, but Blitz’s gaze is the focal point: two bright eyes, no emotion, just kinetic power.

There’s no mistaking what he’s here to do.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

This is card 067/298, and it’s a Champion Unit, which strongly suggests at least rare status—possibly higher, given the hard utility.

No alt art or overnumbered variant has been revealed yet, but Blitzcrank feels foil-worthy.

If Riftbound ends up rotating around battlefield manipulation and control, this is a card to watch early on.
