<p data-start="40" data-end="343">In a game full of flashy Champions and high-stakes Spells, <em data-start="99" data-end="116">Machine Evangel</em> carves out a very specific—and very annoying—niche.</p>
<p data-start="40" data-end="343">This is a value engine disguised as cannon fodder. You don&#8217;t run this card to win a fight. You run it to die strategically and come out with more units than you started with.</p>
<h2 data-start="345" data-end="373">Gameplay / Cool Mechanics</h2>
<p data-start="375" data-end="685"><em data-start="375" data-end="392">Machine Evangel</em> is a 5-cost, 4-power <strong data-start="414" data-end="422">Unit</strong> from Piltover with one key feature: <strong data-start="459" data-end="525">Deathknell – Play three 1|1 Recruit unit tokens into your base</strong>.</p>
<p data-start="375" data-end="685">That means the moment <em data-start="549" data-end="566">Machine Evangel</em> dies, you’re getting board presence on tap. Not stats. Not buffs. Just three extra bodies. And that’s the whole point.</p>
<p data-start="687" data-end="1025">In Riftbound, especially in swarm-heavy or token-reliant decks, that kind of payoff on death can swing tempo like crazy. Need blockers? Great. Want more fodder for sacrifice triggers or buff synergies?</p>
<p data-start="687" data-end="1025">Perfect. It’s not flashy—but in midgame situations where every board slot matters, <em data-start="972" data-end="989">Machine Evangel</em> quietly becomes a threat generator.</p>
<p data-start="1027" data-end="1328">That said, it’s not a plug-and-play card. With 5 mana and only 4 power, it doesn’t trade well unless it’s bait.</p>
<p data-start="1027" data-end="1328">You want it to die efficiently, either via enemy aggression or your own removal triggers. But once it does, your opponent’s clean kill turns into a small army. That trade math adds up fast.</p>
<h2 data-start="1330" data-end="1340">Visuals</h2>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14973" src="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-11-140529.png" alt="" width="397" height="573" srcset="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-11-140529.png 397w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-11-140529-208x300.png 208w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-11-140529-20x29.png 20w" sizes="(max-width: 397px) 100vw, 397px" /></p>
<p data-start="1342" data-end="1692">Kudos Productions nailed the vibe. <em data-start="1377" data-end="1394">Machine Evangel</em> is part cult leader, part twisted inventor.</p>
<p data-start="1342" data-end="1692">Long mechanical limbs reach into the void, while a glowing light pulses in its hand like a half-built sun.</p>
<p data-start="1342" data-end="1692">The setting feels like a back-alley sermon from a steam-powered prophet—full of danger, reverence, and wires. It’s creepy. It’s elegant. It works.</p>
<h2 data-start="1694" data-end="1726">Pull Rate &amp; Value Speculation</h2>
<p data-start="1728" data-end="2023"><em data-start="1728" data-end="1745">Machine Evangel</em> is card <strong data-start="1754" data-end="1765">239/298</strong>, standard numbering with no alt art confirmed. No foil status yet, but if this card sees frequent play in token or combo builds, expect its price to reflect that reliability.</p>
<p data-start="1728" data-end="2023">It’s not sexy, but it’s efficient—and efficiency often finds a home in meta decks.</p>
<p data-start="2025" data-end="2203">If a foil version drops with that eerie green glow dialed up, it’s going to be a low-key collectible, especially for Piltover mains who like their value engines on the dark side.</p>
<p data-start="2230" data-end="2369" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><em data-start="2230" data-end="2247">Machine Evangel</em> isn’t here for the spotlight. It’s here to die—and make sure you benefit when it does. That’s not flash. That’s strategy.</p>
