Last Stand is the kind of green spell you slam when you’re down to your final card and still want to punch straight through your opponent’s smug defenses.

It’s not subtle, and it’s definitely not safe—but that’s the point. This card screams tempo swing, but the kind you don’t come back from—because your unit won’t either.

Welcome to the most dramatic +Temporary buff green’s shown so far in Riftbound.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

At 3 energy, Last Stand doubles a friendly unit’s Might for the turn. But here’s the twist: you also give that unit Temporary—which means it’s gone before your next Beginning Phase.

You get one shot, one chance to make that unit matter more than it ever has. And if you’re playing any kind of green aggro or burst board strategy, that’s often all you need.

The card’s Action timing gives you flexibility: play it on your turn for a planned push, or drop it in a showdown for a surprise lethal. This isn’t a value card.

It’s a closer. A finisher. A high-stakes bet that pays off hard when you time it right. Especially potent with creatures that already have some form of evasion or on-strike bonuses.

Visuals

The illustration for Last Stand nails the emotion: a golden burst framing a lone hammer-wielding figure, facing down a winged threat mid-plunge.

The stance is brave, the scale absurd, and the mood total defiance.

This is a moment of triumph laced with sacrifice—and the radiant impact arc captures it perfectly.

Everything in the art yells, “I know I’m going down—but you’re going with me.”

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

Last Stand is #069 in the Riftbound base set. No known alternate art or foil versions yet, but if a full Yordle-themed green deck becomes meta—especially one that plays low-cost units and buff synergies—expect this card to show up in 3x sets.

It’s not just flashy, it’s functional. And since it comes with Temporary, it’s less abusable long-term, meaning designers can push its power safely.

We haven’t seen overnumbered or collector-variant listings for Last Stand yet, but this kind of hero-moment spell is prime for promo foils or thematic alt-art in future expansions.

Last Stand isn’t for players who hedge their bets. It’s a card for gamblers, closers, and big-turn blowouts.

If you’re the kind of player who believes every match should end with a war cry and a crater, this one belongs in your deck.
