Karma from Riftbound TCG is exactly what Ionia needed—a 6-drop champion that doesn’t just look wise, but plays like a slow-burn powerhouse.

In a set where a lot of units frontload tempo or raw aggression, Karma leans in the opposite direction: recursive value, layered scaling, and deck finesse.

She’s not splashy. She’s inevitable.

This card’s an early showcase of the Recycle mechanic’s real potential. If that subtheme takes off, Karma could end up being one of Riftbound’s sleeper engines—especially in midrange control shells.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

Here’s what Karma actually does:

When played, her Vision keyword lets you peek at the top card of your deck—and recycle it if needed.

And most importantly, whenever you recycle one or more cards, you get to buff a friendly unit. If there’s no buff already, it gets a clean +1|+1.

That second line is sneaky good. It doesn’t trigger once per turn—it triggers every time you recycle.

That means deckbuilders now have an excuse to play niche recycle enablers or lean into combos that create multiple triggers per turn.

You don’t need to build around her to get value—but if you do, the ceiling’s way higher than most 6-costs.

She’s not going to win on curve against aggressive champs, but if she sticks for more than a turn, she’ll start spreading value like wildfire.

Visuals

The Karma art hits the serenity/authority balance beautifully. Cloaked in soft teal light with four radiant spectral arms in mid-motion, she looks like she’s directing energy across the entire forest.

It’s not action—it’s orchestration. That glowing lotus at her feet and the lush, tangled canopy behind her give the whole frame an almost meditative symmetry. Stillness, but never static.

It sells the card’s vibe perfectly: centered, powerful, and always planning two steps ahead.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

Karma is card 235/298 and is confirmed as a Champion Unit, which usually puts her in the Epic or Legendary slot.

No alt art or overnumbered variant has been revealed yet, but considering she’s a major champion with a build-around play pattern, expect a foil or extended art variant closer to launch.

Collectors who lean into meta-aligned chase cards may overlook her early—but if Recycle becomes viable, Karma‘s stock could quietly rise.

Her art alone makes her a likely binder centerpiece.

Karma from Riftbound TCG isn’t loud. She’s layered.

And in a game built around tempo and power spikes, that kind of slow-stacking inevitability might be exactly what control players needed.
