<p data-start="41" data-end="390"><strong data-start="41" data-end="61">Flurry of Blades</strong> is exactly what it says on the tin—fast, surgical, and absolutely brutal in the right hands.</p>
<p data-start="41" data-end="390">This is one of Riftbound’s most tempo-disruptive 1-cost spells so far.</p>
<p data-start="41" data-end="390">It doesn’t scream for attention like a flashy legendary, but if you’re trying to slow down go-wide board states or capitalize on tight math, this thing’s a scalpel.</p>
<hr data-start="392" data-end="395" />
<h3 data-start="397" data-end="426">Gameplay / Cool Mechanics</h3>
<p data-start="428" data-end="607"><strong data-start="428" data-end="448">Flurry of Blades</strong> is a 1-cost <strong data-start="461" data-end="473">Reaction</strong> spell that deals 1 damage to <em data-start="503" data-end="508">all</em> units at battlefields. That’s symmetrical damage—but in this meta, symmetrical doesn’t mean fair.</p>
<p data-start="609" data-end="1015">This is the kind of card that makes sense in decks that don’t go wide or that want to punish low-health token floods.</p>
<p data-start="609" data-end="1015">It nukes fragile boards mid-combat, messes with aggro curves, and combos stupid well with damage-pinging synergies (like anything that gets stronger when units die).</p>
<p data-start="609" data-end="1015">Since it’s a Reaction, you can pop it in the middle of your opponent’s attack, post-blocks, or right before buffs resolve.</p>
<p data-start="1017" data-end="1277">Timing is everything with <strong data-start="1043" data-end="1063">Flurry of Blades</strong>. If your opponent has a couple 1-health units and you can bait them into swinging, you can blow up their whole front line for a single mana.</p>
<p data-start="1017" data-end="1277">It’s reactive control packed into a single blink-and-you-miss-it moment.</p>
<hr data-start="1279" data-end="1282" />
<h3 data-start="1284" data-end="1295">Visuals</h3>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14785" src="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-04-124625.png" alt="" width="398" height="564" srcset="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-04-124625.png 398w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-04-124625-212x300.png 212w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-04-124625-20x28.png 20w" sizes="(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px" /></p>
<p data-start="1297" data-end="1664">The art gives you whiplash. Katarina, mid-spin, back to the viewer, two blades out, eyes locked on something just outside frame.</p>
<p data-start="1297" data-end="1664">You can’t even tell if she’s attacking or if this is just her warm-up.</p>
<p data-start="1297" data-end="1664">The energy around her is a crimson storm—like the blades themselves are warping the air. The swirl is violent, yes, but it’s precise. Cold chaos. Just like the effect.</p>
<hr data-start="1666" data-end="1669" />
<h3 data-start="1671" data-end="1704">Pull Rate &amp; Value Speculation</h3>
<ul data-start="1706" data-end="2362">

<p data-start="1852" data-end="1980"><strong data-start="1852" data-end="1868">Foil Status:</strong> TBD, though if this gets a foil variant, the swirling red light and blade arcs will look incredible in motion</p>

<p data-start="1983" data-end="2144"><strong data-start="1983" data-end="2010">Alt Art / Overnumbered:</strong> No alt or signature version seen so far, but given how iconic Katarina is, this card could easily show up in a future showcase drop</p>
</li>
<li data-start="2145" data-end="2362">
<p data-start="2147" data-end="2362"><strong data-start="2147" data-end="2167">Chase Potential:</strong> Moderate. If token or swarm decks dominate the meta, this becomes a staple. Not a flashy chase card, but one that experienced players will quietly prioritize for sideboards and smart tech plays.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p data-start="2369" data-end="2560" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><strong data-start="2369" data-end="2389">Flurry of Blades</strong> won’t win games on its own, but it’ll sure as hell stop someone else from doing it.</p>
<p data-start="2369" data-end="2560" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">It&#8217;s cheap, fast, and asks for nothing but timing. Exactly how Katarina would want it.</p>
