<p data-start="34" data-end="387">Dr. Mundo is the first purple bomb of Riftbound that genuinely earns the title “champion.” This card is a trash pile engine strapped to a 6-Might body with late-game inevitability baked in.</p>
<p data-start="34" data-end="387">If you’re playing Zaun, <strong data-start="248" data-end="261">Dr. Mundo</strong> might be your finisher—or at least the oversized psycho you drop to swing momentum so hard the opponent questions everything.</p>
<p data-start="389" data-end="561">And let’s be real: this card screams Riftbound design. It’s not elegant. It’s not subtle. It’s brutal recursion and scaling threat, all wrapped in one very angry meat-sack.</p>
<hr data-start="563" data-end="566" />
<h2 data-start="568" data-end="597">Gameplay / Cool Mechanics</h2>
<p data-start="599" data-end="937"><strong data-start="599" data-end="612">Dr. Mundo</strong> costs 8 and enters with 6 Might, but that’s just the start. His passive reads: <em data-start="692" data-end="755">“My Might is increased by the number of cards in your trash.”</em></p>
<p data-start="599" data-end="937">That’s every cheap spell you cast, every trade you lost, every early body you pitched.</p>
<p data-start="599" data-end="937">If you’ve been playing Riftbound like it’s a grind game, this guy shows up as an 8/10—or more.</p>
<p data-start="939" data-end="1251">And then there’s the <strong data-start="960" data-end="971">recycle</strong> clause. Every Beginning Phase, Mundo recycles 3 cards from your trash.</p>
<p data-start="939" data-end="1251">Not optional. Not tied to abilities. Just raw, recursive churn. That means <strong data-start="1118" data-end="1154">deck longevity, synergy triggers</strong>, and most importantly, the ability to loop value pieces like crazy if your list is tuned for it.</p>
<p data-start="1253" data-end="1351">He’s not fast. He’s not flashy. But if you don’t kill him, the game turns into Mundo’s playground.</p>
<hr data-start="1353" data-end="1356" />
<h2 data-start="1358" data-end="1369">Visuals</h2>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-14872" src="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-163410.png" alt="" width="396" height="566" srcset="https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-163410.png 396w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-163410-210x300.png 210w, https://blog.awesomedealsdeluxe.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Screenshot-2025-07-08-163410-20x29.png 20w" sizes="(max-width: 396px) 100vw, 396px" /></p>
<p data-start="1371" data-end="1714"><strong data-start="1371" data-end="1384">Dr. Mundo</strong> looks unhinged in all the right ways. Purple skin lit by medical horror glow, eyes half-deranged, with syringes jutting from muscle like twisted ornaments.</p>
<p data-start="1371" data-end="1714">His posture is lumbering, but there’s intelligence in the chaos—he knows exactly what he’s doing, and he enjoys it.</p>
<p data-start="1371" data-end="1714">The art doesn’t romanticize the madness—it weaponizes it.</p>
<p data-start="1716" data-end="1807">This is the first champion in Riftbound that feels truly unstable. And that’s a good thing.</p>
<hr data-start="1809" data-end="1812" />
<h3 data-start="1814" data-end="1847">Pull Rate &amp; Value Speculation</h3>
<p data-start="1849" data-end="2103"><strong data-start="1849" data-end="1863">Card Name:</strong> Dr. Mundo<br data-start="1873" data-end="1876" /><strong data-start="1876" data-end="1885">Type:</strong> Champion Unit — Expert<br data-start="1908" data-end="1911" /><strong data-start="1911" data-end="1922">Region:</strong> Zaun<br data-start="1927" data-end="1930" /><strong data-start="1930" data-end="1938">Set:</strong> OGN<br data-start="1942" data-end="1945" /><strong data-start="1945" data-end="1966">Collector Number:</strong> 109/298<br data-start="1974" data-end="1977" /><strong data-start="1977" data-end="1988">Rarity:</strong> Likely Rare or higher<br data-start="2010" data-end="2013" /><strong data-start="2013" data-end="2029">Foil Status:</strong> Unknown<br data-start="2037" data-end="2040" /><strong data-start="2040" data-end="2063">Alt / Overnumbered:</strong> No known alt or collector version yet</p>
<p data-start="2105" data-end="2472">Dr. Mundo is shaping up to be one of the higher-impact champions from early previews.</p>
<p data-start="2105" data-end="2472">Not just because of gameplay strength, but because he embodies the Zaun identity so cleanly—chaotic recursion, overgrowth, and danger.</p>
<p data-start="2105" data-end="2472">If Riftbound prints an alt-art or overnumbered version of Dr. Mundo with more grotesque visual detail, it’ll be one of the set’s true chase cards.</p>
<p data-start="2495" data-end="2623" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">If your deck likes dying and coming back stronger, <strong data-start="2546" data-end="2559">Dr. Mundo</strong> might be your new religion. Just be ready to live in the trash.</p>
