High-Speed Dive is part of the Attack on Titan: Battle for Humanity set.
This set is set to release in just a few days on August 16th, and the hype is really starting to build among the AOT fandom. The set boasts a ton of great chase cards, one of which is the High-Speed Dive, giving Attack on Titan fans something to look forward to.
We’re here to decipher what makes this card so special and why it might be very valuable once the set drops. So, let’s get into it!
Origins
The Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) gear, or simply ODM gear, is an essential tool in the world of Attack on Titan. This unique equipment allows the Scouts to navigate the battlefield with incredible speed and agility, giving them a fighting chance against the towering Titans.
The gear uses gas-powered grappling hooks to swing through the air, allowing soldiers to reach the Titans’ weak spots: the nape of the neck. This technology, developed by humans in their desperate struggle for survival, plays a crucial role in the series’ thrilling combat sequences.
Trivia
Did you know that the ODM gear was originally designed for the military police and wasn’t intended for combat? The Scouts adapted the technology, turning it into the ultimate weapon against Titans.
They’ve mastered the art of using the gear to outmaneuver and slash through the Titans with precision!
Illustration
The illustration on the High-Speed Dive card is a perfect depiction of the adrenaline-pumping action that the ODM gear enables. The artwork captures a soldier in mid-air, executing a high-speed attack with incredible agility.
The motion lines and dynamic pose emphasize the breakneck speed and precision required to take down a Titan. While we can’t make out exactly who the character on the card is, the energy and intensity of the scene make it a standout piece in the set.
Value
Since the set isn’t out yet, it’s hard to predict the exact value of this card. However, considering the popularity of the series and the iconic nature of the ODM gear, my guess is that the High-Speed Dive card could be valued around $10-$20.
If the character depicted turns out to be someone like Levi or Mikasa, the value could skyrocket, making it a potential treasure for collectors.
