Darius from Riftbound TCG

Darius
Spread the love

Riftbound’s take on Darius doesn’t hold back—it’s brutal, it’s efficient, and it’s built for finishers.

At 6 cost for a 6|6 body, Darius enters the field swinging and stays on the offensive with the LEGION keyword. The second you drop another card beforehand, he’s ready for action immediately.

That’s big tempo in a game where momentum matters. This version of Darius feels like a clean flagship for Trifarion aggro-stomp builds—especially decks that curve hard into midgame and don’t want to wait for value.

He turns every board into a threat with his passive +1 power aura for your whole squad.

Gameplay / Cool Mechanics

The real kicker on Darius is the synergy between LEGION and his team-wide buff. Not only does he come in ready to punch, but every other unit gets +1 power just by standing next to him.

In a tight game where trades matter, those small buffs snowball fast. And because Legion rewards sequencing, Darius slots beautifully into mid-game combo turns—drop a cheap attacker, then this beast, and watch the opponent panic.

He’s clearly designed for wide-board value. You want to drop him when you already have pressure on the board. The fact that he doesn’t have keywords like Tank or Shield means you don’t want to use him defensively—he’s a closer.

Darius Visuals

This alt art of Darius from the League Splash Team goes full gothic warlord. No face, no expression—just raw armor and dominance.

The grayscale wash, jagged silhouette, and reverse lighting are a huge shift from his standard red-scarf look. He feels colder, darker, almost mythic.

If the regular Darius is a general, this one’s a death god. It leans hard into the “Executioner” title and sells the intimidation.

Pull Rate & Value Speculation

This version of Darius is collector #243a/298, which tells us it’s an alternate art card (not overnumbered, but still distinct).

No word yet on foil rates or whether there’s a version with signature art, but this feels like a lock-in chase for players who want aesthetic dominance. If Trifarion decks stay strong, expect demand for both versions.

Darius is for players who want to end the game, not stall it. Play him when your foot’s already on the gas. The art’s a killer bonus.
