That turns its statline from 2/2 to 2/3 on blocks, and suddenly this thing can hold off aggressive 2-drops and trade up into low-end tempo threats.
It doesn’t generate value or draw cards, but it doesn’t need to—this is pure board presence and attrition insurance.
There’s subtle strength here. A 2/3 defender that costs only 2 forces your opponent to overcommit or trade inefficiently.
It buys time in slower control or midrange builds, and might even hold synergy with Garen-themed strategies focused on battlefield dominance and stall tactics.
