Gameplay / Cool Mechanics
On paper, Ravenbloom Student is simple. It’s a two-cost unit with two power and two health. But the hook is its scaling: “When you play a spell, give me +1 power this turn.”
Every spell boosts it, no cap. This means you can set up a board, hold your spells, and explode damage through one clean chain.
Open with this on turn two, then cast two low-cost spells and you’re swinging for four with zero setup cost.
It gets even better in midgame turns where you’re holding one-mana spells or gear that triggers bonus effects.
The key is that this unit rewards sequencing. You don’t need to invest any extra mana into the Student itself.
