Origins
Ymir was an Eldian girl who lived as a nameless orphan before being taken in by a cult that worshipped Ymir Fritz, the progenitor of the Titans. She was falsely crowned as Ymir and revered by the cult, but once the group was captured by the Marleyan government, she was condemned to become a mindless Titan as punishment.
After wandering in this form for 60 years, Ymir eventually ate Marcel Galliard, a Warrior candidate, which allowed her to transform back into a human and inherit the Jaw Titan. She then used this power to join the Survey Corps under the name Ymir.
